Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. will donate $1,000 in corporate sponsorship for the Lake George Regional Chamber 2008 Restaurant Week, Sept. 8 to 13. Last year's event, which the bank also supported, was described as a 'huge success' by a bank official.

Hyman Hayes Associates , an Albany-based provider of architectural, planning and project facilitation services, was chosen by the State of Vermont Health Care Administration to provide architectural review of Certificates of Need submissions. Hyman Hayes was chosen based on its health-care design expertise, including breadth of projects completed, knowledge of governing codes and regulations, and demonstrated planning and designability. Palio Communications , a Saratoga Springs-based advertising and communications agency, won seven awards in a competition sponsored by the Healthcare Marketing Report .
Palio's honors include: Silver: print campaign 'Bob, Phyllis and Alice,' which Palio developed for Adheris; Bronze: Palio's work on Adheris logo; Bronze: trade show booth design Palio developed for NicOx; Merit: Palio's corporate stationery package (letterhead, business cards, envelopes and logo); Merit: Palio's work on Medical Missions for children's logo; Merit: Palio's work on Novartis Proleukin 'Give them a chance for a complete response' ad; and Merit: Palio's work on Cephalon's Provigil 'Fight the Fog' print.
The Oberlander Group in Albany won a Gold Award and a Grand Gold Award for the RPI President's Report, from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education annual Circle of Excellence program. The Grand Gold Award was one of only two Grand Gold winners in its category of 717 entries.

Thomas Collins Jr. , chief operating officer at The Preferred Group of Albany, was named to the National Kidney Foundation of Northeast New York Inc. 's board of directors. The organization is one of 51 affiliates of the National Kidney Foundation Inc., a voluntary not-for-profit health organization.
