Auditor certified

BLOOMINGTON -- Mary Fortney, Growmark Inc. internal auditingdivision manager, has completed the Certified Internal Auditor exam.

The designation is awarded to internal audit professionals whohave met the rigorous requirements of the Institute of InternalAuditors CIA program. The process includes a four-part exam as wellas high standards of character, education and experience.

Fortney audits internal functions for Growmark, a Bloomington-based regional farm supply cooperative with 100 member companiesthroughout the Midwest and Ontario, Canada.

Albee recognized

BLOOMINGTON -- John Albee, a Realtor with Prudential Snyder/Armstrong Realty, was recently recognized by Prudential Real Estatewith national first-quarter awards.

Albee received a sales professional and team award, ranking secondin the state of Illinois for residential units sold. In 2003, Albeewas recognized as a Commercial Leader with $16 million in commercialsales and $29 million in residential sales.

Prudential Snyder/Armstrong Realty is a division of Snyder Corp.,which develops, owns, manages, markets, insures and finances realestate.

Wills recognized

BLOOMINGTON -- Bill Wills, Country Insurance & Financial Servicesagency manager, recently received the Gold International ManagementAward for excellence in management.

Wills received this award for his sales and service to clients andhis leadership, recruitment and encouragement of professional growthand development of the agents in his office.

The International Management Award is presented annually be GAMAInternational, a professional organization in the financial servicesindustry.

Wills also recently received the Chartered Life Underwriterdesignation.

Bruehl given trip

BLOOMINGTON -- Missy Bruehl, recently returned from an expensepaid trip to the Atlantis Resort in Nassau, the Bahamas, inrecognition of her work as an independent consultant with PartyLiteGifts Inc., a direct sales marketer of candles and candleaccessories.

Bruehl began her career with PartyLite Gifts Inc. in 1992.

She also assists with developing and training new consultants.

Promotions

Martin hired at ISU

NORMAL -- David Martin, a graduate of Illinois State University'sOccupational Health and Safety Program, has returned to theuniversity as a safety officer III in the environmental health andsafety department. Martin will serve as the asbestos operations andmaintenance coordinator and a safety training program coordinator.

Martin worked for more than 10 years for the city of Bloomingtonas a building safety inspector III, secretary of the zoning board andenvironmental/safety expert. He also served six years as anenvironmental/safety assessor for the Army Reserve.

Martin has five environmental health licenses from the IllinoisDepartment of Public Health and nine building official certificationsfrom the International Code Council.
